20 Books I've Read Recently

I'm an Audiobook reader/listener which helps my long commute to and from work to be a little more exciting. I've never been one who can sit down and indulge in a book so this is the perfect way to for me to "read" and I'd never be able to get through this amount of books without my Audible app.

An eye-opening, no-holds-barred memoir about life in the Church of Scientology, now with a new afterword by the author—the outspoken actress and star of the A&E docuseries Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath

Happy Memorial Day

Travel Carry-On Essentials

Admittedly I'm one who always over packs for trips so we always have checked luggage even if it's one suitcase shared between K and I. Clothing and shoes go into the checked suitcase and I pack all my valuables and smaller travel essentials in hand luggage including a change of clothes in case our checked bag somehow doesn't arrive on the same flight.

20 Things I've Purchased in 2017

Looking back at my purchase orders for the year, I have to say I've been quite good with no major splurges just one off items here and there. Some for the house, some for Lola, and some for me... all usually on major sale.

Scenes From The Weekend

Another relaxing weekend for the books before some exciting travel plans for the upcoming long weekend. K was gone most of last week for work so he was in need of some downtime and I was all for sticking around home to be productive and get some R&R.

Friday Faves

On Fridays I like to reflect on the positives from the week - special occasions, people that make me happy, fun events, things I think are humorous or worth mentioning, and many random favorites sprinkled in between. K has been gone on a work trip since Tuesday so I'm looking forward to spending a relaxing weekend with him since I'm sure he's exhausted.

Then & Now High-Low Hem Dress

I bought this high-low dress back in Summer of 2014 for a friend's wedding weekend in Punta Cana. The material is light and airy and it was perfect for a tropical venue. I wore it to their rehearsal party the night before the wedding.

Weekend Relax and Recharge

It was a weekend filled with much needed R&R and some fun with friends.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to the strongest woman I know.

Friday Faves

This cute little nugget joined our team at work on Monday morning. We call him a therapy dog (because of pure cuteness) not to be taken literally. He is as sweet as can be but we need to get over the potty training stage as with all puppies.

Boho Transition Outfit

I recently shared some affordable Festival Style outfits that I found at Target and Kohl's in anticipation for my first concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver. I don't own many festival style pieces of clothing but my bestie recently gifted me this Boho Kimono which is made of super soft, lightweight material and is a great transition piece.

Never A Dull Moment: A Friend's Tinder Dating Stories

The stories of his Tinder dating adventures may be more hilarious to me because I'm on the receiving end of the story and luckily he has a good sense of humor when it comes to relaying the events of each date. Since I'm married and not in the dating world, it's refreshing and certainly funny for me to hear dating stories whether good or bad.

Weekend Whereabouts

The weekend was one of pure relaxation. I slept in until 10:30 on both Saturday and Sunday mornings so you could say I feel fully rested and ready to get this week rolling.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Since Mother's Day is next weekend I figured I'd get the ball rolling with some gift ideas for the Mom's in our life. K and I celebrated a little early with my MIL last weekend when my in-laws came into town to visit. My mom lives too far away to give her a physical gift in person but we will celebrate ALL the occasions when my parents visit us in November.

Festival Style

I don't go to as many concerts and festivals as I used to in the past but last night I booked flights, along with some friends, to Denver to see one of our favorite bands perform at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. It couldn't be more of a dream come true. K and I visited Denver last year but didn't make it out to Red Rocks which was high up on my list of things to do so this year I'm making it happen.

Weekend Entertaining

'

Every week brings a new adventure in life whether big or small...Often times my life can be full of action and then the pause button comes to even things out. This weekend was one full of entertaining family and friends.

Friday Faves

Happy Friday lovely friends!

I'm relieved the weekend is here to relax a little but also entertain my in-laws as this is the first time they're visiting our new home. I had a late start at putting this post together so I'll keep it short and sweet just like I hope today plays out in anticipation of the weekend.

Poolside Pineapples

Pineapples make me think of warm sunny days by the pool and I keep stumbling on new things to add to my wish list. In anticipation of all the sunny days ahead lounging by the pool, I'm sharing my poolside pineapple favorites plus some refreshing drinks/cocktails to sweeten the deal.
