Paris: The City of Love

Paris is often called the City of Love and Romance but is this really true? I guess the answer is subjective. From my experience as a tourist, it is filled with romantic places to visit with your partner so you do get that feeling of enchantment.

7 Things I Loved About Europe

It's hard to pick just 7 things about such a huge place with so many different, new, and glorious things. These are just a few that come to mind to kick off some Friday Faves.

Notre-Dame Paris - After The Fire

I kid you not, I purchased tickets for a historical walking tour of Paris the day before The Notre-Dame Cathedral caught on fire.

Favorite Travel Accessories

I guess you can say travel is on my mind as I gear up for our one big trip of the year. While I love that we've done some fun long weekend getaways to US cities over the past few years, we decided to put all of our eggs in one basket this year and finally make Europe happen.

Packing for Sleep & Comfort on Long Flights

I've been shopping for our Europe travels this summer and recently purchased items specific for our 8-hour direct flight over the pond. In an attempt to fight jet lag when we land at 7am, I really want to get some sleep on the plane so we can hit the ground running when we arrive in London.

Favorite Street Art Sightings

One of my favorite things recently is to spot creative street art on my travels. Whether it's a polished wall mural, decorative sign, or just random street art, I feel like it brings out the culture and soul of the place I'm visiting.

Mardi Gras Weekend in New Orleans

I've visited New Orleans a couple times before (for a bachelorette party and then a long weekend getaway to celebrate K's birthday, which turned out to be Southern Decadence weekend so that was an unexpected amount of fun people watching).

February Favorites

It's always a celebration around here. I salute to birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, and everything in between. I love party planning but planning new travel adventures is definitely a favorite.

Charming Charleston, SC

Well it only took me a month to get this post together as we traveled to Charleston exactly a month ago in December for a quick birthday getaway.

2018 Year Recap: May - August

Hope everyone had a great Christmas on Tuesday. I shared Part 1 of my 2018 recap last week and so now I'm diving into May through August which, now looking back, were evidently heavy with travel and adventure.

2018 Year Recap: January - April

At the end of every year I love to recap and remember all the highlights and adventures that happened during the year. A life document and travel diary of sorts.

Still Weekending in Charleston

What a beautiful city Charleston is. K and I spent the past few days exploring the history, food, and bar scene.

Nashville Work Trip

With all the busy weekends the past few weeks, I made sure I was feeling rested before making my way over to Nashville last week Monday for a work training conference. The days were packed starting with breakfast at 8 am, back-to-back courses throughout the day until about 5 pm, then ending with happy hours, dinner and networking.

Austin Double Decker Bus Tour

We had a blast exploring Austin, TX over Labor Day weekend to celebrate K's birthday and, while most of the trip was unplanned, I did book a hop on/hop off sightseeing and historic tour on the Double Decker Austin.

Adventures in Austin, Texas

Austin has been on my travel wish list for several years now and we finally made it over there for Labor Day weekend to celebrate K's birthday.

Fun and Funnies in Austin, TX

Happy Birthday to my 2 loves - K and Lola who share the same birthday today!

We got back from Austin on Monday night after a fun-filled long weekend celebrating K's birthday so I'm in the struggle mode trying to get back on track with a busy work schedule. With that said, I'm keeping it light today with some fun and funny sightings from our trip.

Labor Day Weekend + TBB Asks

Happy Labor Day everyone! We've been in Austin, TX since Friday exploring the food and music scene along with a historical tour on Saturday. Hope you all enjoy the holiday today.

Exploring Niagara Falls

K and I flew into Buffalo, NY last week Thursday as our plan was to drive to Niagara Falls to see the American side and then cross the border to see the Canadian side of the falls. The rental car company upgraded our car to a brand new Jeep Wrangler because it had Ontario plates so they wanted to get it back over to Canada.

Hello From Canada

Yesterday was a little adventure for K and I. We flew into Buffalo, NY and rented a car to cross the border over to Canada for a weekend of family fun.
