Things I'm Looking Forward to in April

Oh hey April Fool's Day! You could have fooled me that it's already April but I'm looking forward to Spring Things and some of the simple pleasures in life this month...

Party Planning with Rose Gold

The Rose Gold color theme is so pretty for any event (I used it for my NYE party mixed in with some Navy Blue for the guys). It's perfect for celebrating the ladies in your life - birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, graduation parties, engagement parties, etc.

2018 Year Recap: September - December

The final recap of 2018. It was a fun year filled with lots of adventure, travel, and celebrations.

Ringing in 2019

We took a last minute trip to Vegas for Christmas and, I'm not going to lie, the time change returning home kicked my butt. My body clock was all off and I felt like I had a migraine for 3 days straight. Yet I stuck to the plan and hosted a NYE party for friends and neighbors.

2018 Year Recap: May - August

Hope everyone had a great Christmas on Tuesday. I shared Part 1 of my 2018 recap last week and so now I'm diving into May through August which, now looking back, were evidently heavy with travel and adventure.

2018 Year Recap: January - April

At the end of every year I love to recap and remember all the highlights and adventures that happened during the year. A life document and travel diary of sorts.

A Cowgirl Themed Baby Shower

It was a fairly low key weekend except for a co-ed baby shower on Saturday which was beautifully decorated and had a huge turn out. The mom-to-be is from a small town in Texas so the cowgirl theme was perfect plus her favorite food, Tex-Mex was on the menu!

A Beautfiul Suprise Bridal Shower

On Saturday we celebrated my beautiful neighbor, Ashley, the bride-to-be. The "bride tribe" asked if I would drive her blindfolded to the venue for her bridal shower, which I agreed but felt bad to have her blindfolded for the 20 minute drive. Ashley was a good sport and stayed blindfolded for the entire drive and then walking into the venue. It was actually quite funny.

TBB Asks - Party Edition

Joining The Blended blog ladies today (a little late) for their August Summer Edition of TBB Asks.

1. Favorite Birthday Party as a Child?
I have vague memories of all my parties as a kid but one of my favorites pictures is from my 2nd birthday when I had golden curls and, of course, since I'm a December baby, the cake had Christmas colors.

4th of July + Weekend Vibes

With the 4th of July falling on a Wednesday this year, going back to work on Thursday felt like Monday 2.0 but the saving grace was that Friday was just a day away.

With Freedom Comes Responsibility

Happy birthday America!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all my Mama friends!

Enjoy your day!

Oh, Weather Man

I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend even with the weather all over the place. Orlando was forecasted to be rainy ALL weekend which it was here and there but the Weather Man was wrong. We got some good rays of sunshine which is a shame because we had fun plans for Saturday with Kate but decided to reschedule because of the weather.

2017 Year Recap: January - April

I always love reflecting back on the year to remember all my adventures and whereabouts. 2017 was a great year filled with celebrations, travel, and fun with friends.

Kicking Off The Holidays

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, I've started getting into the Christmas spirit with some gift shopping, several upcoming holiday parties with friends, and planning our Winter Wonderland company holiday party for about 200 people.

Twice The Blessings, Twice The Fun: High Tea Party

After a busy work week, a quiet Friday night at home was just what the doctor ordered especially since lots were on the agenda for Saturday and Sunday.

I woke up bright and early on Saturday and relaxed a bit before prepping for the tea party of the year since twin girls are on their way! I made mini quiche and fruit skewers and headed over to my friend's' house to help get set up for the baby shower hosted by her family.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to the strongest woman I know.

Weekend Entertaining

'

Every week brings a new adventure in life whether big or small...Often times my life can be full of action and then the pause button comes to even things out. This weekend was one full of entertaining family and friends.

Ringing in 2017

Since my parents had to cancel their trip to visit us for Christmas and New Years (details here), we decided to throw a last minute party at our house for NYE. Mostly everyone we knew already had plans or were out of town but luckily some of our neighbors were in for the celebration and we did a little house hopping to another neighbor's house to set off fireworks at midnight.

It was a very Christmas-themed NYE party because we bought so much food and drinks to celebrate with my parents but instead went out of town on Christmas Day to spend it with K's family.

Nothing goes to waste around here so we cooked turkey and some sides for dinner but we did have the NYE essentials ~ champagne and fireworks to ring in the new year.

We ate and had some eggnog and drinks and then headed over to our neighbor's house to pop the champagne and light off fireworks at midnight.

With my sister in town and lots on our agenda for the whole week, this was the perfect way to ring in 2017 with new friends in the neighborhood.

The Weekend When 2017 Arrived

Happy new year everyone!

I've never taken a true "staycation" before but the past week off of work has been pure bliss with lots of relaxing, shopping and adventures with the sis, and ringing in 2017 with new friends/neighbors on NYE.

FRIDAY

K and I took my sister to Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios. It happened to be the coldest day of the year in Florida so we tried to fit in as much as we could before the sun went down.

We waited 2 hours in line to go on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride but that was definitely a must for my sister to get the full experience. We didn't get to taste butter beer because the lines were crazy. K went on the Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster while Leah and I opted for some browsing through the stores.

We caught the Grinchmas Who-liday Show which was cute but I couldn't keep my eyes open for all of it.

We went on the Adventures of Spider-Man 3D ride and a few others but the lines were over an hour for most of the popular rides including Jurassic Park.

K and I just signed up for annual passes so we have a whole year to cover both of Universal's theme parks. Merry Christmas to us!

SATURDAY

Since my parents were supposed to be in town for NYE, we never made any official plans so we threw a small last minute shindig for our neighbors which was low key but we had tons of fun and I love that I have really cool neighbors!

SUNDAY

We relaxed all morning and cleaned up the house. In the evening we headed to International Drive to go on the Orlando Eye observation wheel and then have dinner at one of our favorite tapas and art restaurants in the area.

Cafe Tu Tu Tango

It was the perfect end to a weekend full of fun and celebrations. Luckily I have today off of work to unwind and get organized/mentally prepared for the work week ahead.

If you happened to miss my NYE holiday card you can check it out here.
