TBB Asks - Party Edition

Joining The Blended blog ladies today (a little late) for their August Summer Edition of TBB Asks.

1. Favorite Birthday Party as a Child?
I have vague memories of all my parties as a kid but one of my favorites pictures is from my 2nd birthday when I had golden curls and, of course, since I'm a December baby, the cake had Christmas colors.

2. Do you like to Entertain? Yes or No?
YES! Love entertaining although the larger gatherings happen few and far between but we do have our neighbors and friends over quite often. Last year we hosted Thanksgiving for the first time while my family was in town so that was fun.

3. What kind of Parties are your favorite?
Any party! Holiday Parties, Birthdays, Bachelorettes, Girls Night Out...just to name a few.

4. Big or Small Parties?
I can adjust to any environment but I guess smaller parties are easier to mingle with everyone.

5. Favorite thing to do at Parties?
Chat with friends, eat, drink & celebrate! Isn't that what parties are for?

6. Party Food Favorites?
Buffalo Chicken Dip is always a hit.

7. Favorite Flavor of Birthday cake?
I don't have a huge sweet tooth but I do love some vanilla cake with Buttercream icing from Publix.

8. Balloons? Yes or No?
Those small balloons that pop easily scare the crap out of me but I do love big milestone balloons.

9. Best Party Song?
I can't even begin to pick one. I guess it also depends on the occasion but the most sentimental song we play is "Rocket Man" by Elton John, remembering our funny and sweet friend lost to cancer way too young! We play that song at every wedding, hug each other, and remember him.

"And I think it's gonna be a long long time
'Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"

10. Do you like to Dance? Yes or No?
I will depending on the occasion. In Trinidad, we have a tradition where the ladies hold up the first layer of the Bride's dress and dance around her in celebration, which is always fun!

That's all for today!

  2. I love the dance with the wedding dress! And popping balloons scares the crap out of me, too! I will literally leave a room so as to not hear one pop!

  3. Buffalo Chicken Dip sounds SO delicious! I just love anything with buffalo sauce. I just love that photo with your wedding dress in the last photo. And, that birthday cake decorated with Christmas colors and that huge bear on top is too cute!
