Just popping in to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving and express my gratitude for all the lovely blogger friends I've meet over the years.

Sephora Black Friday Sale

Believe it or not, I've never braved the crowds of Black Friday shopping. I usually shop on Cyber Monday if there's anything I really need that's on major sale. This year my mom and sister want to see what Black Friday shopping is all about. While we're not going out in the middle of the night for big ticket items, we have some smaller stores on our list to checkout during the day.

Family Weekend

It was a fun-filled weekend with my family. My parents arrived on Friday afternoon so we all went out for dinner in the evening and then walked around the Light Up Nona Art Festival.

Five on Friday

Happy Friday all! I'm excited that my parents and sister arrive today so I'll be off gallivanting with them for the next week or so. I hope you all enjoy the weekend.

10 Books I've Read Recently

I've been going through quite a few audio-books on my commute and have a new found love for Nora Roberts' novels so I've read a ton of her books and have purchased a few more to read. I also must add that I don't purchase books without reading the ratings, so all of my picks came highly recommended and have, at the very least, 3 stars in my personal opinion

Winery Weekend

It was a relaxing weekend with some fun with friends on Saturday. The weather was cool and crisp so it's definitely feeling like Fall in Florida and I'm not complaining. My parents and sister arrive on Friday so I spent a good amount of the weekend getting our house organized and stocked up with food and lots of wine!

Friday Faves

The weather has been beautiful this week although the time change has messed with my sleep having me up way too early every morning. I'm looking forward to some fun with friends, relaxing, and probably some online shopping for Christmas gifts over the weekend.

10 Delicious Thanksgiving Side Dishes

This is the first year we're hosting Thanksgiving and I'm looking forward to spending time with family and close friends. It was initially just my parents and sister but the party has now grown to 11 adults plus two twin baby girls.

Weekend Sunshine

We spent the weekend in sunny Bradenton, FL visiting family and exploring the cute downtown area. When we got into town on Saturday, our first stop was at Caddy's on the water for lunch in the Tiki bar area. The weather was perfect!

Friday Faves

What a week in terms of the weather in Florida. Waking up to the 40's on Monday morning and then back to 90's yesterday. Way to shock the system with the extreme highs and lows! I'll be content with consistent temps somewhere in the middle so we can feel some crisp "Fall" air.

Happy Halloween

We started celebrating Halloween a little early with a trip to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios last week. Neither K nor I are one for getting spooked for fun but we got free tickets with our annual passes and wanted to make use of them before the event came to an end.

I happened to be downtown for a work meeting in the morning so I treated myself to some delicious tapas for lunch at Kasa Restaurant.

 

Gift Ideas for The Ladies

It's crazy we're approaching the end of October which means the holidays are just around the corner. I've started browsing for gifts and already purchased some things for my mom and sister. The three of us share December birthdays so lots of gift giving happens then.

~ I went for a relaxing and long overdue mani and pedi on my lunch break. My intention was to go with Fall colors but I walked out of there with pink sparkles.

I love seeing all the cute Fall outfits my blogger friends are wearing up north and just wish we could experience a real Fall. The changing colors of the leaves and the cool weather makes me want to head to Nashville where our friends live to experience all the Fall foliage.

Vacationing at Hammock Beach Resort a few weekends ago was a retreat of a lifetime! It was luxurious, relaxing, fun with coworkers/friends, and all around an experience that exceeded my expectations.

Weekend Flow

The weekend was a relaxing one. I was either sleeping, lounging at the pool, or working on some projects on my computer. I did venture out on Sunday for a few hours which was much needed!
