30 Random Facts About Me

Happy Friday!

I'm back from our cruise and recovering from vacation mode. That's a thing right? Needing a vacation after your vacation? At least the weekend is near and will give me some time get back into my routine and also get all my photos from the trip organized. I got some great shots in Cuba and can't wait to share.

In the meantime, these are 30 Random Facts About Me which Pamela recently shared on her blog.

1: Are you named after anyone?
Nope...all I know is my parents had Emily and Anya in mind for a girl and Ben if I happened to be a boy.

2: When was the last time you cried?
About a month ago when I unexpectedly got laid off from my job.

3: Do you have kids?
Just Miss Lola who keeps me busy and very entertained.

4: If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
Hopefully! I have quite a large group of friends ranging from childhood, high school, college, and different jobs who I still keep in touch with and often find time to catch up over dinner or happy hour.

5: Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Here and there. It's not something that's on the tip of my tongue.

6: What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Their mannerisms and social politeness

7: What is your eye color
Different shades of hazel depending on the environment I'm in.

8: Scary movie or happy endings?
Happy endings always. I haven't seen a scary movie in a longtime.

9: Favorite smells?
All the colognes I pick out and buy for K. lol

10: What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
"Home" is technically Trinidad so the furthest I've been from there would be Alaska.

11: Do you have any special talents?
I can't think of one that would be considered special other than the fact I can switch my accent from full Trinidadian slang to American (still have an accent) depending who I'm talking to. I'll never be able to pick up the American accent fully but that's fine with me.

12: Where were you born?

13: What are your hobbies?
I liked Pamela's answer about day drinking, but more seriously being outdoors when the weather is nice. Going to the beach, lounging by the pool, brunching with friends, celebrating all of life's occasions with friends/family, and of course blogging.

14: Do you have any pets?
Yup just the one and only Lola Bear

15: Do you have any siblings?
A younger sister, Leah. 5 years apart

A kindergarten school teacher

18: How tall are you?

10+ (I've lost track)

21: What was your favorite/worst subject in high school?
Favorite: None / Worst: Spanish

22: What is your Favorite drink?

23: What would you (or have you) name your children?

24: What sports do you play/have you played?
I'm not very sporty.
I tried soccer and that lasted all of 2 days. I was good at gymnastics, ballet, dance/cheer-leading and softer sports.

25: Who are some of your favorite YouTubers?
I don't really use YouTube unless I'm looking for a tutorial of some sort.

26: How many Boyfriends have you had?

27: Favorite memory from childhood?
Wow so many. I think having sleepovers at my Granny's house is a fave memory. She would always spoil me with ice cream and back scratches while watching movies.

28: How would you describe your fashion sense?
All over the place. lol I don't keep up with the major fashion trends but I love shopping and finding new styles that are cute and comfortable.
