Weekend Relax and Recharge

It was a weekend filled with much needed R&R and some fun with friends.

After work on Friday, my coworker and I went for a failed happy hour at an Irish Pub. I say failed because there was a band getting set up and playing music so loud we could hardly talk or hear each other so we cashed out and took a rain check.

Lola and I hung out that night since K was in Miami for work.

On Saturday I went for an hour long facial and some much needed pampering.  In the evening we hosted dinner for our favorite neighbors.

K grilled some delicious steaks and we enjoyed red wine and tons of laughter. Always a blast when we get together.

Sunday morning was pure relaxation sipping coffee and blogging while catching up on my shows.

We celebrated Mother's Day with my MIL a few weeks ago when my in-laws came to visit us. My mom lives in Trinidad so we chatted on the phone and I sent her all the virtual Mother's Day love.

Sunday afternoon was spent enjoying some sunshine and pineapple mimosas at the pool with some of the neighborhood ladies.

And that's a wrap of my weekend of pure relaxation.

Joining the lovely Biana for her linkup.

  1. What a bummer that the band was setting up to play when you guys wanted to have a little ladies night!! Your dinner with friends sounds like a blast as does the afternoon spent by the pool! Loving your float!! Happy Monday girl! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  7. Ugh it's the worst when you're trying to relax and have a drink and the band is so loud you can't hear yourself think! So glad you had a nice relaxing weekend though. Jealous of your pool time! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  8. Your weekend sounds absolutely blissful, surrounded by friends and just having a good time in general! Those pineapple mimosas sound amazing! I think that I might need to try it out next weekend!

  9. Now that looks like an awesome weekend. Aside from the music being too loud to talk. That drives me nuts when it's not specifically a music venue where you're going to hear a band and that's it.

Those steaks are killing me. I got a cavity filled this morning and haven't eaten yet.

  11. The pool time looks like the best (we have a neighborhood pool too in the new neighborhood and we're counting down the days to use it!) and hosting dinner is always fun! Jealous of your spa day!

  12. What an awesome weekend, minus the loud music to ruin happy hour. I hate when it is so loud in a place that you cant talk. Especially at happy hour! That picture of Lola with the bone is too cute! Hope you have a great week!

  13. That photo of y'all on the floats is too cute! I hate when you go to a happy hour, and it's so loud you can barely hear you, let alone the person you're sitting with.
