Random Life Lately

Blogging has been a little spotty for me recently as I've had very little to say. I have been busy studying for some Google business certifications that are useful for my job and starting a small business on the side, which I will share more details when it's finally launched.

Also being sick over the weekend had me feeling useless. I did manage to put up our Christmas tree and do some decorating around the house but lots of sleep and lazy couch time was had.

That said, December is my favorite month. Not only because of all the holiday spirit that leads up to Christmas but it's also my birthday, my mom's birthday, and my sister's birthday so there's usually lots of celebrating in December.

I'm happy to say that I've gotten all of my holiday gift shopping completed and some packages sent out to family in Canada.

I'm still waiting for our holiday cards to arrive so I can get those mailed out asap. We actually had our wedding photographer take some photos a few weeks ago that I used to design the card so I'm excited to see how they turn out. Here's a couple candid photos from the shoot.

My boss put in her resignation last week and I'm not sad about it.

I'm sure many of you can relate, with gift shopping, the temptation to sprinkle in some things for yourself is hard to resist so that happened.

I also signed up for Stitch Fix and received my first "fix" this weekend. I'm not very impressed with the items the stylist chose for me. I will say the clothing are all really great quality but not really my style with the exception of one top I plan to keep.

I love the fact that we can bring our dogs to work. Lola has only been once since she's a bit hard to get going in the morning but Apollo is one of my favorite office pups. He's a miniature poodle and probably weighs 5 lbs.

I'm looking forward to two trips we have planned to cap off 2018. Charleston for my birthday and Vegas for Christmas. Vegas was a very last minute decision as my aunt offered us her timeshare for free so we looked at flights and made the decision to go! It will be a very nontraditional Christmas but the opportunity was hard to resist.

So that's a little brain dump of my life lately.

Hope this Monday treats you well and I'm excited to finally say Happy Holidays!
