Home Decor: Gorgeous Chandeliers

Everyone knows I'm a sucker for anything sparkly and chandeliers are that one fixture that adds a classic and sparkly touch to home decor. I've always wanted to have a dainty chandelier in my room as far back as I can remember.

The reality is that bedrooms in Florida need ceiling fans to keep us cool and a pretty chandelier isn't a practical choice (much to the delight of my husband). So for now I'll live vicariously through Pinterest and some of the bloggers who've installed a cute chandelier in their dining room or baby's nursery.

Dining Room Chandeliers

I love the look of modern and traditional dining room chandeliers depending on the style of your home. The hanging light fixtures in our dining room and breakfast nook are more modern and simple- similar to #6 above to flow with the style of our home.

One day I'll get my fairy-tale sparkly chandelier to decorate somewhere in our house.

  6. YES! These are beautiful! We put one in our downstairs guest room to liven up the space. One of the guys we had consulted to come and paint our basement was like 'I've never seen a chandeleir in a basement bedroom before"....NOW you have, sir! haha

  8. It really is such a bummer that we have to have a fan in bedrooms in the South! A chandelier would be so beautiful, but I have a feeling that Chris is also pretty excited that he doesn't have to tell me no because we already know that it's not practical. I guess we could always put one in our closet :)

  10. Oh Emily, come up and help me decorate the new house. I am sharing this post on my Friday Faves this week as I am sharing my WIC chandelier. Love your tastes so much and lighting is truly one of my favorite aspects. Can't wait to share all my lights after they are installed in the house. Have a wonderful day sweet-n-pretty lady!

  11. So many gorgeous pieces! I can't live without our ceiling fan either, but a great place to put one of these pretties would be in a walk in closet ;-)

  12. I am more into funky-ish sort of lighting I think. I do love how chandeliers look but not with my decor!

  13. These are beautiful, and I totally need to do an inspiration post like this. We still have all of our "builder grade" chandeliers in the front hall, dining room, and living room, and I'd love to modernize everything a bit!

  14. These are all so gorgeous! But I'm with you - we'd die without our ceiling fan!! Derek likes to run it on low even in the winter!

  15. I'm obsessed with my chandeliers and really wanted one in the living room and the bedroom... but Texas mandates fans. Sigh. Thankfully, the dining room and breakfast nook can handle my chandelier obsession. ;)

  16. We have a ceiling fan in our bedroom and Chris never wants it turned on because the noise it makes drives him crazy when he is trying to sleep. We have a box fan that he likes better for the constant noise instead of the random shaking of the ceiling fan. So I think I could bargain for a pretty light in our next house with that argument! Haha!
