That Rose Gold Phone Though

Has Blogger ever deleted one of your scheduled posts? That's what happened to my post for today and it isn't the first time. I logged in to see my post from Thursday had an identical duplicate and my draft for Friday had mysteriously vanished so I'm trying this again and it's going to be short and random.

My plan for today is to hopefully snag the new rose gold iPhone 6s on my lunch break. I hope I'm able to get through in time and that it doesn't sell out before I get there. Wish me luck!

I've mentioned before that my roommate and great friend from college passed away a few years ago from cancer. Her birthday was this week so I celebrated it somberly remembering all the fun times we had and still trying to grasp, 3 years later, that she isn't here on earth.

Before Lola, I hadn't owned a dog since my childhood days. My first dog Rosie, who was a small fluffy yet feisty Pomeranian, was pretty much murdered by my neighbors' two Rottweiler dogs and it was a heart breaking moment for a child to witness. I didn't feel the need to have another pet since then probably because of the fear of facing a similar situation. Now that we have Lola though, I've learned so much and can see the true love a dog has for their owner and vice versa. (Sorry for two sad stories in one post).

Has anyone shopped the Kate Spade 75% off sale yet? I might have to pick up one of their pretty iPhone cases if I get through with the new phone.
Happy Friday lovelies!

  7. I think it's really nice that you took time to remember your friend. I'm so sorry, though, that she's gone :(
The love of an animal is seriously something that you just don't get until you have one yourself and truly get to experience it. I feel the same way about Cooper--not sure what I'd do without him :)
Good luck getting the rose gold phone!! Fingers crossed for you :) (and that case is beautiful!!)

  13. Ughhhh it's the WORST when Blogger eats your post. That happened to me last week when I worked so long on a guest post for Emelia, I spent hours on uploading photos and on advice quotes to go with each to only have it all disappear before my eyes. I let out a huge scream upstairs in the office. I felt so bad that post I gave her was me just phoning it in - stinkin' blogger!

Good luck today with the new phone, I can't get over how pretty the rose gold is and wonder why it took them this long to release that color! And huge *hugs* gurlie for Sally, a beautiful girl lost way too soon.

Happy Friday, can't wait to see you tomorrow <3

  14. Loving the new phone, hope you get it!! Blogger has been so glitchy lately, I've had duplicate posts with nothing on it and it's just annoying. So sorry about your college friend and your pup, hoping the happy memories will help you :) *hugs*!

    Happy Friday!!

I was a rose gold phone! Gorgeous! I am so sorry to hear about your friend! It is so traumatic to lose someone young. I am sure she is watching over you! Have a fabulous weekend! xo

  19. So sorry to hear about your friend!!! And your dog!!! So glad that you have Lola now though to teach you all the things only a dog can. I know I have learned unconditional love from mine! They are just so awesome and my life is better because of them.

I am totally jealous of your rose gold phone!!! I want one but I have a 6 so no reason to upgrade again. Hope you have a great weekend!

  20. I am so sorry to hear about your roommates passing but it is so nice that you have all the memories with her that you do. I hope you got the new phone! I was debating on trying to get it right away or not but with everything else going on around here, I figured I would wait for the lines of people to die down! Have a great weekend love!

  21. I hope you get that phone!

I don't think we ever stop missing people we love who are no longer with us. I think time makes it easier and the grief isn't a daily pain, but I don't think we stop missing them. Big hugs to you.

  22. I agree with Steph. I don't think there's such a thing as not missing people (or animals) who played an important part in our lives. I don't necessarily think it ever gets any easier though... I think that we just get stronger with time. Stay strong, friend. :)
75% off Kate Spade... damn you, woman!

  24. blogger has never done that to me and i hope it never does. that sucks!
i am so sorry for the loss of your friend, and i am so sorry about the dog. i had a very similar (rottweiler as well) experience and we went 10+ years without a dog, and we didn't get a new dog until the neighbours moved. it's heartbreaking and so hard to comprehend that when you are little.
