Aloha Friday & November to Remember!

This month is quickly coming to an end and it feels like the year has just flown by!! I December though! It's my birthday month and Christmas so how could I not?  I decided to do a quick recap of my adventures for the past month.

I'm also linking up for the Aloha Friday blog hop.

We went to a friend's housewarming party in their beautiful new home. She had tons of Pinterest inspired appetizers, desserts and cocktails.

We attended our friends/neighbors beautiful lakeside wedding at the same venue where we got married.

We put up our Christmas tree wayyy too early this year but I not complaining.

We took park in a charity event hosted by the company I work for for the Special Olympics of Florida.

We went out of town for Thanksgiving weekend and ate lots and lots of yummy food.

I did some Black Friday shopping and also snagged a few deals on Cyber Monday including a Casserole carrier bag for my Mom-in-law and a down-alternative comforter set for my sister-in-law, both about 50% off at Kohl's.

I took a girl friend out to her favorite sushi restaurant last night for her birthday.

And when I got home, I had these waiting for me:

I'm pretty sure it's been an awesome November to remember!

 Excited to sparkle this season!

Cyber Monday Sales

What deals do you have your heart set on today?

I've already purchased most of my Christmas gifts so I've been trying to avoid additional shopping but the Cyber Monday promotions continue to flood my inbox.

Some sales that I've been browsing through today are:

Coats and jackets are over 50% off at Macy's so I've found some huge deals like the two jackets below both going for $17.99 (originally priced at $59.50).

Cyber Monday only comes once a year right?

Have some fun with it!

Sunday Football & Grilling

Not that we didn't eat enough turkey for Thanksgiving, but we decided to experiment with homemade turkey burgers as a leaner option to ground beef.

We made mini turkey burgers because we already had small buns for sliders and I whipped together side Caesar salads.

I looked at several recipes online and kinda just concocted my own recipe for the patties and then cooked them on the grill ~ SO DELISH!

1 1/2 lb ground turkey
1 egg
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/4 small red onion (diced)
2 cloves garlic (diced)
green onion (diced)
salt & pepper

I'm not sure I'll be returning to ground beef for our homemade burgers...hope hubby doesn't mind ;-)

Love grilling on football Sundays! What's on your menu?

Thanksgiving Festivities & Black Friday Shopping

Phew! We're back home after spending a hectic few days in B-town with K's family and friends for Thanksgiving.

On Thursday morning we left home and drove to B-town on Florida's west coast to spend Thanksgiving day with K's super large family. We caught up with everyone and ate a huge spread of food including turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes and about 10 other sides. The dessert table was also packed with every type of pie and cake imaginable.

Thanksgiving night we went out to catch up with all of K's friends from childhood and high school days. Several drinks and laughs were shared!!

On Black Friday, I convinced K to take me to the outlet malls to browse around "quickly".  I thankfully didn't do much damage just bought myself a blue chiffon blouse and black booties that were 50% off. I got most of my Christmas gift shopping done last week so didn't really need to buy much else.

After the Outlet mall we went for lunch at this awesome seafood restaurant and tiki bar on the inter-coastal called Tarpon Point. We enjoyed eating outdoors in the beautiful 70 degree weather.

Friday night we went out again for one last hurrah with K's friends and to also celebrate a birthday. We started off at our favorite spot in B-town. It's become a tradition to visit this bar everytime we're in town because they are known to serve the strongest Mai Tai's probably in the country.  They're so strong that they don't allow you to have more than two.

So we had our two Mai Tai's and went on to continue the birthday celebrations for one of K's good friends at another bar.

This morning we said our goodbyes and hit the road to head back to our quiet home. So thankful today is Saturday and we still have 1 more day to relax before the work week begins.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
