NYE Party Ideas by Love Always, Nancy J

I have the lovely Jordan entertaining for me today while I'm in Trinidad & Tobago for the holidays. Jordan recently got married and I've loved following her journey from wedding planning into the newlywed life.
I'll let her take it from here...

Hey y'all! My name is Jordon and I am the lady spilling out my guts over at Love Always, Nancy J.
I am so excited to be guest posting for Emily while she is away!
Isn't she a doll?
We are hosting our annual NYE party this year and while I am excited, this party also skyrockets my anxiety.
Two years ago someone dumped a bottle of champagne on my kitchen floor and last year someone tackled my mini Christmas tree.Needless to say, I have really great friends.
Every year I find all these fascinating ideas on Pinterest and I never bring them to life.
This year will likely end with the same sad story, but a girl can dream, right?

Here are some of my favorites!
Is it obvious I love all things gold and black?
Those may or may not have been our wedding colors ;)..

I hope everyone has the best of New Year's and Make sure to stop by and say hello!!

Christmas Traditions with Friends & Family

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day yesterday!

We spent Christmas with my in-laws and K's extended family. (We're traveling to Trinidad tomorrow to do a late Christmas with my parents and ring in 2014 with my friends back home).

On Christmas Eve night, we went out to celebrate a friend's birthday who's born on Christmas day. We meet up at the same bar every year to ring in his birthday at midnight with some celebratory shots.

On Christmas morning, we wake up and open gifts with K's parents and sister and then go for Christmas dinner.

Some of my pretty gifts from Santa.

Back to work today ugh!

Looking forward to flying out tomorrow to see my family & friends and SO excited to ring in 2014 in the beautiful Caribbean. I have some awesome guest posters that will be holding down the fort while I'm gone.

Also, check out my guest post over at Showered with Design by Lisa!

Hope everyone has a fun and safe NYE!
xoxo

December Weekend Fun

Another fun long weekend!
Thursday night was my company holiday party at Disney so they gave us Friday off of work, thankfully! We stayed out at a Disney resort and hung by the pool on Friday since the weather has been in the 80's. It definitely doesn't feel like December in Florida.

Strawberry Mojitos at the pool bar ~ delicious!

On Saturday night, we went to Kate's holiday party. After 2 nights of partying at Disney I was exhausted but we had a great time celebrating the holidays with friends.

~ White elephant gift: We ended up with a Patron Tequila set, which K was most excited about.

This is why I love the holidays!

Let The Holiday Parties Begin

Happy Friday!
Luckily I got the day off from work today because last night was my company Holiday party at Disney. Nothing's better than another long weekend after Thanksgiving last weekend. This is seriously why I LOVE the holidays!

We stayed overnight at a Disney resort after the holiday party last night...

Holiday Gifts for Him

Versace Fragrances · Calvin Klein Underwear Boxers · GUESS Slim Jeans

 ~ money clip or wallet
~ watch
~ grill master set
~ sunglasses
~ underwear or socks
~ a good pair of jeans
~ iPad case
~ NFL shirt with his favorite team
~ (Your favorite) Cologne ;-)

I got a sample of Versace Eros in the mail and it smelt so incredibly good that I had to buy K a bottle for Christmas this year. I purchased the bottle of cologne and got the Eros 3-piece gift set below for free ($20 value) from ULTA. I think that was a pretty good deal and now I have two gifts to wrap instead of one.

What other gift ideas do you have for guys?

Let The Holiday Festivities Commence

The craziness that is the holidays has officially begun for the Martinis & Bikinis household.

Friday was nice & quiet. K and I went for dinner at Carrabbas and then rented the movie "This Is The End" to watch at home.  I thought the movie was weird and zoned out after about 20 minutes so I don't recommend it.

On Saturday, we went to our first holiday party for the year which was so much fun. This is my absolute favorite time of the year and I love nothing more than spending it with good friends/family along with delicious food and, of course, copious amounts of alcohol.

Sunday was gloomy & overcast so it was the perfect lazy day to catch up on my blogs, cook food for the week and nurse my hangover.

Tell Me About It Tuesday: NYE Fun

Today feels like a Sunday (Meh!) but I'm welcoming 2013 with open arms... and some curiosity. 2012 treated me good and since 13 is my lucky number, I think this will also be a great year.

I bought these 2013 champagne glasses for K and I to use when we pop the champagne at midnight.

K and I started off NYE night by going out for Sushi dinner.

We then went to a friend's house party to ring in 2013.

I wore my sparkly skirt, black blazer and boots.

We had a great time celebrating with friends and several jello shots were enjoyed!

I'm curious to see what 2013 has in store for me. According to a cheesy horoscope I read, my new year will be marked by: FRIENDS, SUCCESS & INTELLIGENCE. That's alright with me!!

I'm also linking up with Helene for Tell Me About It Tuesday.

I hope you have a great 2013!

Farewell 2012: Highlights & Adventures

2012 has been a wonderful year filled with some very memorable and life-changing experiences.

We spent last New Years in Tobago with my friends from back home. We threw a NYE party at the house we rented and had a blast dancing and mixing drinks.

Every morning we awoke to 90 degree weather in Tobago and spent our days relaxing on the beach until the sun went down.

In February we went to Disney's Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

In May I was the maid of honor for one of my best friend's wedding.

June was a huge month for us as we got married! We had an outdoor wedding at Paradise Cove in Orlando. We had friends and family travel in from all over the world so it was an incredibly special day & one I'll never forget.

We did a mini honeymoon in St Pete Beach, FL since we had a big trip to Jamaica planned for the following month for my cousin's wedding.

St Pete Beach is a really cute beach town on the west coast. Unfortunately it rained most of the weekend so we stayed in our hotel room and caught up much needed sleep and relaxation after a busy wedding week entertaining guests.

In July we traveled to Negril, Jamaica for my cousin's destination wedding and our "official" honeymoon.

We stayed at an awesome all-inclusive resort on Negril beach and spent some quality time with my whole family.

We also took a charter boat out on the coast of Negril's 7 mile beach and visited the world famous Rick's cafe where the locals do cliff diving.

In October we took a 3-day cruise from to the Bahamas. We toured Nassau and got to eat some local food ~ conch fritters and conch salad.

The cruise also took us to Coco Cay which is a private island owned by Royal Caribbean.

In December we visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for my work holiday party.

And finally, yesterday I made a big purchase to start off 2013 right ;-)

I'm looking forward to what 2013 has in store for me. 13 is my lucky number!!
