T.G.I. Fridays

Hey Hey!

Better late than never! Here I am for my usual Friday Funday in the blogosphere. I had a long, crazy day at work which led to a headache but my brain is feeling a whole lot better after dinner & a nice fruity cocktail with my hubby!

#1: The sunset in my neighborhood was beautiful this evening. Remembering to enjoy the simple things in life and appreciate the beauty of mother nature.

#2: Superbowl is this Sunday! We'll be watching it with food, friends and cold drinks. Loving the festive deviled eggs dish which is perfect for a Superbowl party.

#3: Enjoying my newest Yankee candle tonight ~ Cranberry Chutney smells delish!

#4: Sooo I won my first blog giveaway! Yay! The Domestic Sweetheart contacted me to let me know I was a winner of the BluApple Giveaway (it helps to keep your fruits and veggies fresh for a longer period of time). It arrived today so I'll be doing a review soon!

#5: The Tropical Berry Mojito from T.G.I. Fridays = Delicious! It made my stressful Friday a whole lot better.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm chugging coffee like my usual Monday morning self but it's actually Hump day so I guess I should be thankful for that!  Joining in with Jaime for What I'm Loving Wednesday. 

I'm loving that I finally got my sushi fix last night with some lady friends.

 I'm loving that the Super Bowl is this weekend and we have some fun things planned to celebrate.

I'm super excited that I'll be flying home to Trinidad in 9 days to play Carnival with all my girls. My costume is black & gold but it's a bikini not a monokini. 

I 'm loving that my flu shot was free of charge so hopefully I stay clear of any sickness for my trip and, well, all together.

 

I'm loving the new scent Secret Wonderland from Bath & Body Works. (It's new to me at least). I also love Moonlight Path.

I'm loving these Pinterest finds ~ already thinking of Summer!! (Although it never really got cold in Florida this year).

Finally... I'm extra LOVING that I just bought tickets to Slightly Stoopid's May 2013 show in St Petersburg, FL.  I can't wait!

Back to the Grind

Another fun yet relaxing, sunny, football-filled weekend!

My weekend included some shopping at the VS semi-annual sale. I picked up a comfy sleep tee for $16.

on Saturday K came home with these BRIGHT pink gardening gloves from Home Depot. I think he wants me to help out more in the garden. Meh! While I fully support the cause, I'm slightly embarrassed to be seen by the neighbors. 

 Later we enjoyed some S'mores ~ the vodka kind ~ while watching football.

On Sunday we cooked a big breakfast at home and then headed out to pick up my car from getting tinted (pictures to come).

Later we met up with some friends at a sports bar to watch playoff football. Good times!

After drinking beer & watching New England win, I whipped together a Grilled Chicken & Avocado Salad for dinner and we called it a night! Work on Monday morning comes way too quickly :-/
