After a long day of work on Friday, I came home to some fresh Lilies and a card from Lola for Mother's Day. Such a sweet surprise.
But who knew lilies smell like pee? I spent all of Saturday trying to figure where Lola might have peed in the kitchen to then realize the stench was coming from the flowers.
Saturday was gloomy and rainy so I went for an hour long massage and did some errands before another lazy/relaxing night at home. Being stuck indoors always calls for some online shopping so I got to re-up on my hand soaps and 3-wick candles from the BBW sale.
Lots of play time with Lola and her "Maggie Simpson" pacifier as I call it.
And that was the extent of my fun this weekend!

ReplyDeleteI was sick for a month when my ex gave me lillies, they are toxic to me, and don't get me started on the smell! A massage and brunch sounds like a dream weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! Even if your flowers were smelly, they sure were pretty! I think I have had that same issue with lillies though. Not being able to figure out what was so gross smelling in the house for a day or two haha. Someone got me some when I had Zoe and I made Chris throw the whole arrangement outside when we got home from the hospital. Still so sweet and thoughtful though :)

ReplyDeleteThat Lola is so thoughtful. She has good taste in flowers too... even if they do smell funny. I tried to hit up the BBW sale... but too busy. I couldn't deal with it on Saturday, lol. Bottomless mimosas are always a win. I had to skip them last weekend because #work... and I was definitely sad about it. lol.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who finds lilies stinky. I'm actually allergic to them. Some people say they smell good, but I do not know how!
