Weekend Whereabouts

It was a gloomy weekend in Orlando which was the perfect excuse to be productive around the house and just enjoy some R&R. I was hoping to catch some rays of sunshine by the pool but that didn't happen with the overcast weather and flashes of lightning.

The rainy evenings will never deter me from meeting up with a girl friend for happy hour at a local brewery to catch up and plan our girls trip to Denver next month.

Friday night was a relaxing night at home, taking in the beautiful sunset views from our neighborhood.

Other random sightings in my neighborhood...this big guy!

On Saturday night we went to a new Portuguese restaurant called Lisbon to meet up with some friends for a double date. Portuguese cuisine is completely new to me (even though I have Portuguese blood) but the four of us enjoyed trying a variety of dishes.

The food was delicious and so different from anything we've had before. We walked around a bit after dinner and then grabbed a drink at Tin Roof to listen to some live music.

Lola woke me up entirely too early on Sunday so I started the day with some coffee and blogging. It was a gloomy a day which was perfect to do all the Sundays things - laundry, food prep, cleaning, and some online shopping.

I purchased some cute things all on major sale from Express and did another Amazon Prime haul of random things.

Meanwhile Caribbean curry chicken was cooking itself in the crockpot just in time for dinner!

And that's all she wrote about another weekend come and gone.

  1. Is it bad to say that I LOVE gloomy weekends, at least sometime. It gives you chance to relax more and recharge. LOVE the tops you got and how relish does Caribbean Curry Chicken sound? Have you shared this recipe here before, if not, place do, lol. Hope your Monday goes great!

  3. Sometimes I love when the weather isn't the best during the weekend because it does kind of force you to stay home and get more things done!! That caribbean curry chicken looks so good! Would you say it is spicy with just the curry powder? I would love to try but I don't always do well with spice. :)

  15. The weather this weekend wasn't the best for sure, we snuck in some pool time right before the skies opened up and then used the weather as an excuse to relax. That restaurant sounds fun, Lisbon was our favorite city on our trip across the pond a few years ago. We'll have to check it out, and YAY for Denver planning <3
