Since living in the US, a day doesn't go by without someone asking me where my accent is from. Usually Trinidad and Tobago is the last thing on their mind. Trinidad is where I grew up which is more of a bustling kind of
island but Tobago is a short 20 minute flight where we go to relax.

Tobago Love: A Tropical Wedding
Wednesday, September 2, 2015
This is a not a wedding guide of any sort. It's more like a mini gallery since the professional photos from my girl friend's wedding back in February just became available. It was also the most gorgeous wedding I've attended so I thought the details shown in the photos could be helpful to future brides out there looking for ideas and inspiration.
The venue
was in the backyard of an oceanfront villa that sits on the coast of
Tobago in the southern Caribbean. Tobago is the sister island of Trinidad where I grew up and a lot of my family and friends still live there.

The bride gifted her girls with these cute kimono robes from Etsy along with some gorgeous angel wing earrings made with white bone and shiny tattoo jewelry.
The sand ceremony included sand from Denmark (groom) and Trinidad (bride).
Trinidad & Tobago Trip: Part 2
Thursday, March 26, 2015
I apologize in advance for this long-winded post. By long-winded, I mean a ton of photos because it was hard to choose just one or two from each day. Also, I posted about the first part of my Trinidad & Tobago trip yesterday if you happened to miss it.
Thursday:
We headed over to Tobago from Trinidad on a quick 20 minute flight in a propeller plane which I absolutely hate but it's extremely worth the anxiety. We stayed at a cute vacation house for the wedding weekend.
We had enough time to take a quick swim in the pool before heading out to the rehearsal dinner at a villa the bride's family rented on the ocean for the wedding.

Friday:
There were no wedding activities planned for Friday so we headed to Pigeon Point beach to relax and soak in some sun. The weather was perfect that day and the water was gorgeous! K and I also decided to take a jet ski ride which was fun.

Saturday:
The wedding day came quickly and we were up bright and early to start the hair and makeup process. We got another day of beautiful weather in Tobago (thankfully!).

Sunday:
Well as you can imagine, we had an extremely long day and night on Saturday so Sunday was perfect for sleeping in and then some lounging at the pool before heading to lunch with my parents at a restaurant that had beautiful views of the beach and ocean.

Tobago is just the definition of paradise!
We flew back to Florida on Monday at the crack of dawn and I've been trying to get back into the swing of things that is also called real life. Hope you all enjoyed reading about my trip and if you ever want to visit my beautiful country, please feel free to send any questions my way. I'd love to point you in the right direction to have the best time possible.
