Reggae Rainout

One of my favorite bands played this weekend at Cocoa Riverfront Park, a nice outdoor venue close to home. The lineup of bands were great (Matisyahu and Tribal Seeds) leading up to my favorite, Slightly Stoopid.

I've seen them play at this same venue before and, even more memorable, at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver a couple years ago.

We knew the weather was going to be a little rainy on Saturday but we did not expect a monsoon of rain, lightning, and thunder just when the concert was supposed to begin.

Everything was delayed so we had to hunker down at a bar across the street waiting for the weather to clear up.

Me to the bartender at the German pub: "I asked for a beer not a jug"

Glad I packed a poncho for the intermittent rain throughout the night. With the overcast weather no good photos were taken.

Despite the weather, the music was great and overall it was a blast! Not to mention a super fun/funny Uber drive home with Chrissy in the front seat jamming to Bohemian Rhapsody. At least the Uber driver was cool with our drunken shenanigans.

  3. We had beautiful weather for so long, and then this weekend was such a wash out. A little balance would be nice - ha! Glad you guys had a blast despite the weather, and post-concert Uber rides are the best <3
