Weekending in NOLA

Sharing a quick recap and a few snaps from the weekend after a last minute trip to New Orleans.

I flew in on Friday night to meet up with K who was already in town for work. We had dinner at Luke Restaurant which was delicious and then headed to Bourbon Street for some live music and bar hopping.

My First Mardi Gras

Coincidentally the weekend was the beginning of Mardi Gras. I met up with Missy at Copper Vine and then we headed to the parade. She was a great hostess showing me the ropes of Mardi Gras. It was a blast hanging out with her and her friends!

On Sunday, K and I went to The Krewe of Barkus (the Mardi Gras doggy parade), which was SO cute! Of course, I was drawn to all the dogs that looked like Lola but every dog was equally cute.

So much fun in a few short days...more details from the trip coming soon!

  9. I love New Orleans!! I've never during mardi gras though. What an adventure that must be! My mom was there on a business trip once and she got to see the floats being made. The pictures looked really incredible. I can't imagine how cool it must be in person!
