Weekend Recap

If getting lots of rest and sleeping in on the weekend is your idea of fun then I had a blast! It was relaxing all around with some ventures out to a new restaurant/bar in our area on Saturday and then lounging by the pool of Sunday.

We went to check out Nona Social on Saturday for lunch, which just had their grand opening this month.

We loved their food and beer selection but these Korean BBQ wings are probably my favorite!

I slept for almost 12 hours on Saturday night still feeling exhausted on Sunday. How that is even possible? The afternoon was spent lounging by the pool with my pineapple float and meeting some new neighbors.

I just started reading Robin last weekend but then comes the news of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain's suicides in the same week. Goodness, I just have no words for the loss of these two celebrities who seemingly had so much to live for.

Mental illness in the form of severe depression is more common than you think (I know first hand from a very special and important family member attempting suicide in the past). PLEASE look out for your friends and family showing symptoms of this behavior and give them hope and help! As much as I don't endorse prescription drugs, sometimes this is the answer to help the chemical imbalance that is causing this depressive behavior and suicidal thoughts.

Joining the lovely Biana sharing my weekend happenings.

  2. I love your pineapple float. I was shocked to hear about Anthony Bourdain, I didn't find out until Friday afternoon (had been in meetings), and was shocked. Too many great people so young, so sad. My heart breaks for their children, to young to understand.
