The Weekend with Sunshine & St Patrick's Day

The weather has been all over the place lately but ended up warm and sunny during the day on Saturday and Sunday. I actually woke up on Sunday morning hustling to get ready for work thinking it was Monday, then to realize it's still the weekend so I crawled right back into bed and slept until 9:30. Bliss!

First off Happy Birthday month to my Bestie and all the March bloggers: Biana, Steph, Jenn, and so many more of you!

The extent of my fun was had on Saturday when we ventured over to Universal Studios for St Patrick's Day. I tried green beer for the first time and immediately felt sick afterwards. lol

We headed over to the Fisherman's Wharf area for some lunch at Lombard's Seafood Grill.

The only ride I could stomach to go on was Jimmy Fallon's Race Through New York which is a fun simulated ride. Better than I expected.

I browsed through the shops while K went on some of the scarier roller-coasters. I was tempted to buy all the cute things for my Goddaughter.

Even though it was St Patrick's Day, Universal still has their Mardi Gras festival going on so we strolled through the French Quarter and grabbed an overly priced cocktail.

The day started out quite chilly but ended up being super hot in the afternoon which wore me out quickly. We left the park to head over to City Walk and stumbled on a St Patrick's Day block party at Pat O'Brien's. I got to relax my feet and enjoy some AC while listening to live music and Irish humor.

Sunday was a gorgeous day to be outdoors so I rode my bike over to the neighborhood pool and enjoyed some sunshine for a few hours.

My neighbor Kirsten and her daughter joined us at the pool for a little bit so it was fun catching up with her and splish-splashing with Amelia.

The rest of the evening was spent doing all the Sunday things and grilling out for dinner.

And this is me every Monday... Do I really have to?

Joining the lovely Biana sharing my weekend happenings.

  6. The weather this weekend was absolute perfection! It's been way too long since I've been to Universal, and that needs to change! Jimmy Fallon can do no wrong, and I had no idea they have a "Fishermans Wharf" I almost feel teleported back to San Fran! Have a fabulous week <3

  15. Yay for spring weather and friends!! Green beer has never appealed to me. I don't know if I've ever had it, tbh. Of course, I'm not really a beer person, so that might have something to do with it, too.
