Weekending

It was a weekend of sweet relaxation and not much on the agenda except a ladies night. Most of Saturday was spent relaxing and doing stuff around the house and then lounging at the pool even though it was a little overcast.

Saturday night was ladies night at my neighbor's house.  Cheese is my weakness so I offered to bring a cheese plate and decorated it with strawberries. All the while, Lola was just staring at me hoping some food would drop on the floor so she could vacuum it up.

We nibbled on some finger foods, drank way too much wine, played Taboo Midnight, and laughed the night away.

These ladies are so fun and funny to hang out with, I'm already thinking of hosting the next ladies night at my house sometime soon.

Lola woke me up way too early on Sunday but thankfully I felt rested and surprisingly didn't have a hangover.  I took the 4-hour online traffic school course for the stupid speeding ticket I got (my first speeding ticket ever) right outside my office. I paid the $175 ticket and opted to take the course to avoid getting 3 points on my driving record. Lesson learned!

Once I passed the exam, we made breakfast and I had a celebratory pineapple mimosa! K put together this Slow Cooker Honey Pork Roast recipe in the crockpot to cook for dinner and I did all the Sunday things - blogging, food prep, laundry, cleaning etc.

We ventured out in the afternoon to check out Boggy Creek Resort Park which is a hidden gem near to our home. It has cottages, a restaurant, cute novelty shop, a marina on the lake, and lots of campground for RVs etc.

  1. Your cheese plate was amazing and it's my weakness too!! I have to say lounging by the pool when it's overcast sounds like it would be pretty enjoyable and not heat coma inducing!! So glad you had a great weekend girl and hope it carries into the week!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  2. Oh what a fun night with your neighbours and best thing is that you could walk home after a few drinks. Did you try contesting the ticket? I did to mine and they dropped it from $190 to $40 with no points.

  3. Looks like my kind of girls night! That's a bummer about your ticket, I've had to fight to get mine reduced before too. Boggy Creek looks like a fun place to explore.
