NOLA Trip Booked & Friday's Best

Happy Friday!
I think I say this every week, but I'm looking forward to sleeping in and having no big responsibilities this weekend. It's been a crazy week at work so a large glass of wine is calling my name ;-)

One: Myself and 8 other girls just booked our flights to New Orleans for a bachelorette in April. I've never been to NOLA so I'm excited to check out the French Quarter and party on Bourbon Street. Now we need to find a good place to stay around that area. Any recommendations??

Two: Girls sushi date last night. We meet up every few weeks to catch up over happy hour sushi & wine at our favorite spot downtown. You can't beat $4.25 sushi rolls and cocktails!

Three: My package of goodies arrived from Bath & Body Works on Monday along with a free 3-wick candle from spending over $20. I chose the Peach Bellini candle which smells SO good! Their new lotion collection also smells divine - The "Sun" lotion is my favorite, then "Sky".

Four: Chicken Stir Fry never gets old in my house. We make this meal for dinner almost every week because it's healthy, easy & delicious. I posted the recipe last year here.

Five: Don't forget to enter to win a $200 Stella & Dot gift card  our Valentine's Giveaway hosted by Bella from Dateless in Dallas.

Have a great weekend!

Joining Lauren for H54F and Darcie for Five on Friday.

  2. You're going to have a blast in NOLA! I went a few years ago and stayed at the Holiday Inn in the French Quarter which was the perfect location and in walking distance of Bourbon Street and of course Cafe Du Monde where you must go for breakfast and try beignets... YUM!

And YES to a nice big glass(es) of wine tonight...

  3. I live in NOLA and you're going to love it here! I don't have any suggestions for a place to stay, but I'd definitely recommend leaving Bourbon St. and walking over to Frenchman Street - it's where the best live (often free) music is and it's where a lot of locals go to party.

  4. Ahh, I'm going to NOLA for a bachelorette party in June so I can't wait to read all about your trip there. As far as where to stay, I've never been there, but we are looking at the Holiday Inn, Hilton Riverside, and New Orleans Marriott right now. They are all pretty close to Bourbon St and all the fun!!

  5. Oh I love NOLA!!! We stayed at the W the last time (the one not in the quarter) and it was amazing! They have a car service that you can reserve that will drive you anywhere in a 5 mile radius. I had them take me to a Pure Barre Class and we took it out to dinner every night! Highly recommend!

  7. I would suggest staying the French Quarter. We stayed at the super expensive Renaissance for the Sugar Bowl a few years back. It was really convenient staying that close to Bourbon Street, but I would suggest finding something cheaper.
