Historic Sightseeing Boston Harbor Cruise

Last Saturday we spent the day playing tourist exploring the beautiful city of Boston. Yesterday I posted about all the attractions we visited using the Boston CityPASS, with the Historic Sightseeing Cruise being my favorite of all.

After checking out The New England Aquarium, we were ready to set sail on a Historic Harbor Cruise. Not only was the weather perfect for a cruise, the fully narrated 90-minute tour of Boston’s inner and outer harbor was very informative and such a fun experience.

The tour gave us so much history about the past, present and future of Boston’s harbor including tales of famous revolutionary battles. We got to view the Nation’s oldest continuously manned lighthouse, many historic and contemporary landmarks along the harbor, and several islands in the outer harbor.

Heading back into the harbor...

I think the pictures do most of the talking of how beautiful it was to cruise around Boston's harbor and learn some history while taking in the views.

  1. When you first mentioned that you did this cruise I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I hadn't done it yet, but after seeing your pictures and reading about it I realized I have done it before but didn't know it was a historic sight seeing cruise LOL!! We have a smaller downtown but I just love the views from the harbor!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  11. CityPass really is a great deal in so many of the big cities! We did a similar cruise in Seattle and loved it so much so it's good to hear that the Boston cruise is just as great! I love all of those views of the harbor!

  12. You guys had such great weather!! Yay!! I've never done a Boston cruise, but I did do a gondola ride on the Charles River once. I definitely think I need to squeeze this in on my next tourist-y trip. (Or work trip? That's a thing, right? lol) I'd love to better understand more about the Boston skyline - I think it's gorgeous but I only recognize the Prudential Tower, lol!
