Las Vegas: Summer 2015

We had a blast exploring Las Vegas for the 4th of July long weekend. We checked in to our hotel early on Thursday morning and went for crepes and coffee at La Creperie in the Paris Las Vegas hotel and then headed out to walk around and explore the strip.

Our first stop was to check out the famous Las Vegas sign and then we spent several hours walking around checking out different hotels, casinos, shops, and bars.

Thursday night K and I had reservations at the Top of World restaurant which is the rotating restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino. The 360 views of Las Vegas plus the sunset made for a nice ambiance.

After dinner we were exhausted because of the time difference but we sucked it up and went out to Hakkasan nightclub to see Tiesto perform. It was worth the exhaustion after being awake and traveling for almost 24 hours.

Friday was a full day of exploring the strip. We had lunch at Serendipty 3, which I had heard great things about but both K and I thought it was a huge disappointment. Long wait to be seated, lack of service, chicken caesar salad that costed $22, and then they serve me a head of romaine that I now need to chop and toss myself! I think they're better known for their desserts and will never go for lunch or dinner again.

Friday night we went for an amazing Italian dinner at B&B Ristorante in the Venetian to celebrate Emily's 30th birthday and then headed over to Bellagio to see Cirque du Soleil's "O" show.

Saturday 4th July was spent lounging by the Soleil pool in a cabana we rented which came equipped with misters which was much needed in the summer heat.

The rest of the trip was pretty much go-with-the-flow

  6. You look stunning at the Top of the World restaurant! I would have been disappointed by that salad too if it cost $22! The rest of the trip looks like an absolute blast though.

  7. i had totally heard that about serendipity 3, and i think we got desserts / breakfast and even the breakfast was bad. honestly, i've had better desserts as well! i think they are overrated for sure, which makes me sad because i love the serendipity movie haha. that top of the world restaurant looks fun, and you look gorgeous! kudos to you for going out afterwards!

  14. What an awesome trip!!!! So cool that you got to see Tiesto while you were there! Disappointing about that salad, how ridiculous! You look so pretty at your fancy dinner with your sequined dress. Atlanta has a restaurant (Sundial) that spins around and I loved eating there when I lived there!

  19. Such a fun trip! I love your sparkles at the Top of the World Restaurant. I liked my dessert at Serendipity 3-I didn't even know they serve normal food! Haha. Cirque's "O" is one of my favorite shows! I have seen it several times and would happily go again!

  20. Vegas does suck the energy out of you with the time difference, but cool that you got to see Tiesto. I agree on the Serendipity 3 thing, stick to desserts. When we went we literally got there when they opened so getting seated was fine, but they definitely were rushing a group of 12 girls out so they could have the table. The service was so terrible when all the girls ordered their signature coffee's they came out ice cold and lack luster. My breakfast was alright, but definitely could have eaten elsewhere. I've always wanted to go to the "O" Cirque show, so jealous that you saw it, was it awesome?? Glad you had a blast, makes me miss it and want to go back!
