20 Things I've Purchased in 2017

Looking back at my purchase orders for the year, I have to say I've been quite good with no major splurges just one off items here and there. Some for the house, some for Lola, and some for me... all usually on major sale.

Scenes From The Weekend

Another relaxing weekend for the books before some exciting travel plans for the upcoming long weekend. K was gone most of last week for work so he was in need of some downtime and I was all for sticking around home to be productive and get some R&R.

Festival Style

I don't go to as many concerts and festivals as I used to in the past but last night I booked flights, along with some friends, to Denver to see one of our favorite bands perform at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. It couldn't be more of a dream come true. K and I visited Denver last year but didn't make it out to Red Rocks which was high up on my list of things to do so this year I'm making it happen.

Fun Springs Things

I've thoroughly enjoyed the last few low-key weekends since we now have some busier ones on the horizon. I was hoping to go to the beach this weekend but the weather, even though it was summer-like last weekend, is now back to cooler Spring temps this weekend. I'm not complaining because the 90+ degree weather came too soon and I was worried that we skipped Spring completely and jumped right into a blistering hot Summer.

Luckily a little taste of cool weather has returned this weekend so we can still enjoy some Spring fun outdoors and in the fashion department like this adorable Pom Pom Clutch from Bauble Bar.
On Wednesday, I shared the details of one of my Spring Casual outfits which had some of my favorite accessories including the most comfortable Rose Gold Sandals from Lauren Conrad.

This Tropical Safari Off-The-Shoulder dress from Target caught my eye while browsing online. Perfect for Spring and Summer in Florida.

Have you tried the Rose Oil Blend by Pixi? I was given this as a gift and have used it as my nighttime moisturizer ever since. Another great product even though $24 is a bit steep for a facial product, I will definitely purchase again since a little goes a long way and it leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft once absorbed in.

I'm not a coffee or Starbucks fanatic but I happened to walk by one recently and decided to stop in for a little pick-me-up. I usually go for their plain coffee frappuccinos but got tempted by the sign for
their new Toasted Coconut Cold Brew. SO good!

This Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner onesie is my favorite funny and cuteness overload for the week. I had to send it to my pregnant BFF for a good laugh.

Congrats to the winner of our Spring Beauty Giveaway - Kayla from A Paper Arrow. Happy shopping!

Cheers to the weekend everyone!

Spring Casual

Fashion inspiration has started to hit home as the warmer days are settling in. As casual and pretty basic this outfit is for a sunny Spring day, it's my definition of comfortable weekend attire.

Spring Weekend

It was a relaxing one with great weather. We had all these plans to go out to dinner and a concert on Saturday night but made a last minute decision to stick around home and relax instead, which meant lots of cuddles with Lola.

On Saturday morning, I spotted a baby rabbit in our yard. I was able to snap a photo before it took off faster than a cheetah. I find it funny an "Easter bunny" has made it's way into our neighborhood just in time for Spring. Good thing it camouflages well with the landscaping so Lola hasn't spotted it yet.

We ventured out on Saturday afternoon to do some shopping and groceries followed by a late lunch.

Sunday was spent doing Sunday things. Our neighborhood pool FINALLY opened (it was supposed to be completed by December last year) so we went to check it out and took Lola for a walk.

Some things from last week:
- I did my first wheelchair distribution to a local resident in need who couldn't be discharged from the hospital without a wheelchair. It was heartwarming to see how happy the gentleman was to receive his very own wheelchair.

The company I work for is heavily involved with The Wheelchair Foundation which distributes wheelchairs to people in need all around the world. In fact we have a wheelchair distribution trip planned for Nicaragua later this year to bring a shipment of almost 300 wheelchairs to different villages.

If this is something that interests you, feel free to visit our local chapter called Chair The Love to see photos and videos of past distribution trips and charitable events we host to raise money.

That's my weekend in a wrap!

Joining the lovely Biana today for my weekend whereabouts.

Best Weekend with The Bestie

Where do I begin? It was an awesome weekend with the Bestie. I picked her up from the airport on Friday afternoon and we got right down to shopping at the Florida Mall for maternity and baby things.

I was ecstatic to be asked to be Baby S's Godmother with this cute card and got to feel her wiggle around and kick all weekend long!

We celebrated C's birthday that night with some Thai food for dinner and cake for dessert!

On Saturday morning we got some more baby shopping out of the way and had a delicious lunch at Pom Pom's Cafe.

In the afternoon we headed over to Universal Studios to have some fun. Unfortunately most of the rides weren't fit for expecting moms but we did go on some baby rides, catch some shows, and enjoyed exploring Harry Potter's Diagon Alley. The weather was beautiful for a day at the park.

In the night we watched the Mardi Gras parade and caught tons of beads which was lots of fun.

After the parade we were starving so we went over to Antonijtos to have some delicious Mexican for dinner and enjoyed some table-side made guacamole and fajitas.

After dinner we were exhausted with a capital E so it was time to call it a night.

I slept in and relaxed a bit on Sunday morning before heading out to do some final shopping with C. We grabbed a yummy lunch at Marlow's Tavern and got a few errands done.

Today she heads back home and I'm off to work but my heart is happy after such a fun-filled weekend with lots of quality time together.

I'm now SO looking forward to meeting Baby S and traveling home for her Christening in December.
